Lynx Viewer: Back in the olden days of the web, there was Lynx. Kind of like the Black-and-White TV of the Internet - this is one of the original browsers that you never hear about anymore. We used to check our sites using this tool to be sure they would display correctly in a text-only interface, which at that time, was very common in the academic setting. Go ahead and enjoy the old-fashioned texty goodness!

Most users are still on IE but most developers use or at least have a copy of Firefox with the Firebug plug-in. Firebug is unbelievably helpful in troubleshooting the "what the heck happened here" type of design errors that are so common when looking at your shiny new website design on different browsers and screen resolutions.
